  • Apple Seeds OS X 10.11.1 to Developers for Testing

On Thursday, Apple has seeded OS X 10.11.1 beta 1 to developers for testing with the build number 15B17c.

OS X 10.11 El Capitan hasn't even been released to the public yet, as the expected release date is September 30th. On the other hand, just like the progression of iOS, Apple is continuing development to make OS X better.

Like iOS 9.1 beta, which developers also have access to despite yesterday's public release of iOS 9.0, OS X 10.11.1 includes new Emojis for the operating system, include a middle finger, taco, unicorn, and cheese among others. It's mostly a small update for OS X, being that it's a 10.11.x release, but iOS 9.1 on the other hand is a relatively significant update that will add support for not only the emojis, but also the iPad Pro and its new Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil accessories.

Developers can access the new OS X 10.11.1 beta from the developer section of Apple's Web site. Developers can also access it from the Updates tab in the Mac App Store application.
