  • Discover Card Begins Rolling Out Support for Apple Pay

On Wednesday, ahead of the iOS 9 public release, Discover Card has begun its roll-out of support for Apple Pay. Currently, the Discover Card is only available on Apply Pay to those on the iOS 9 beta or golden master channel, although it will support everyone else as soon as iOS 9 is released to the public at the expected 1 P.M. Eastern time (10 A.M. Pacific time). You must have iOS 9 to use Discover Card with Apple Pay.

To make people more excited about using Discover Card with Apple Pay, Discover says that cardholders will get 10% cash back until the end of the year (2015) on all Apple Pay purchases, which is a pretty nice little perk, considering the company typically only launches 5% cash back incentives at quarterly intervals throughout the year.

Adding your Discover Card to Apple Pay will be as easy as adding any other card just open the Wallet app in iOS 9, opt to add a card to Apple Pay, and then point the camera at your card for your device to automatically recognize your credit card's information. If the card is already associated with the user's iTunes account, the only bit of information they'll need to enter is the security code.
