  • Bank of America Updates Mobile App With Touch ID and Apple Watch Support

Those who have an online bank account with Chase know that the popular bank incorporated Touch ID compatibility into its app many months ago. And if you speak to someone who uses the app, you will know how much easier it is to access the account instead of typing everything out manually. Now, there’s good news for those who have an online account with Bank of America. Another bank has decided to follow suit on the Touch ID login idea and we think customers will appreciate the change.

What this means is that Bank of America customers with Touch ID on their devices can use the fingerprint sensor to log into their account and check information without having to type in a password and username. According to BoA’s website, the mobile app is already supporting the new service:

The new fingerprint and Touch ID sign-in capabilities provide eligible Android, iPhone and iPad customers with a secure and convenient way to log into the mobile banking app using their fingerprint. This feature allows access to the most common functionality of the app without the additional need for a passcode.
The bank also updated their mobile app to have Apple Watch support. Customers who have an Apple Watch and wish to view bank information on their wrists, will be able to do so on the updated app.

The mobile banking app is now compatible with Apple Watch, allowing users to view account balances and recent transactions for their linked checking, savings, credit card and investment accounts, as well as receive real-time alerts and notifications on their wrist …
Version 6.4.0 of the mobile app is available for free from Apple’s App Store. You can go directly to the app by clicking the source link below. Full release notes are as follows:

Thank you for your feedback! We’ve heard your requests and are happy to provide you with a new Mobile Banking app that supports:

    •Touch ID
    •Apple Watch

Here are some of the additional enhancements in this app release:

•The home screen has a new design and includes the ability to sign in using your fingerprint
•It’s easier to schedule an appointment with a specialist for help or advice
•Deposit your checks with confidence. Now you’ll see the digital check image immediately on the confirmation screen, along with your confirmation number.

As always, there’s more to come in future releases. Please continue to tell us how we can make your mobile experience better.

Except Chase has had this for like 6+ months. Bit late to the party BOA. I always hated using BOAs app so never banked much with the account I have with them.

Idl why I still cant see my cash back credit card rewards/points. Chase lets you vie them and spend them and a whole portal for your points. BOA is just way behind on their technology overall.
