  • Ebay Launches Redesigned Mobile App for iOS to Simplify the Buying & Selling Processes

On Tuesday, Ebay has launched a new version of its mobile application on the iOS platform with several changes to the application that will change the user experience in what the company hopes will be for the better. The latest version of the application that you can now download from the App Store is version 4.0.0.

Ebay users downloading the update today will notice a completely redesigned application. For some, this will feel a lot like a downgrade, but Ebay says it's all a part of making the application more simple and will help users in making the buying and selling process easier.

Among the major improvements, Ebay has changed the front page of Ebay to make accessing search, recent items, bidding, buying, and selling easier to get to. You now get what feels more like a mobile experience instead of a miniature desktop experience.

Depending on how you like to use Ebay, today's update will give you one of three major informative pages on the home screen of the application:

If you're already an Ebay user, you will find this update waiting for you under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Ebay for free from this App Store link.

I usually find what I want on eBay, and I save on taxes, one of the reasons I don't use Amazon.

Me too as well. I've noticed the same phone case was cheaper on eBay with free shipping and would arrived faster. No since in wasting money on Amazon Prime or Amazon for that matter.

The new app design sucks. I use eBay over Amazon also. Way cheaper.

Tell that to the millions using eBay. Amazon is rarely cheaper even though it may be the same sellers.

I have to agree on the new design sucking too. As a matter of fact, I didn't even update it. I was using it went to another app and when I went back to the multitask (lol) eBay loaded as the new one. That sucks

I am not a fan of the new design either. I feel like the stuff I used most is now harder to get to. It's more designed towards helping you buy, and harder to use if you're a seller.
