  • Amazon Brings Offline Videos to Popular Amazon Video iOS App

On Tuesday, Amazon updated its Amazon Prime Video application for the iOS platform bringing the application up to version 3.2 in the App Store.

Amazon Prime Video is now known on the App Store as just "Amazon Video," and with this change in today's update, Amazon is now allowing iOS users to download and watch videos offline for when those sticky situations come up where you know you won't have an Internet connection.

This is a feature that Amazon has kept only for its own proprietary devices until today, which means Amazon Prime users now get to enjoy this feature even on their iPhones and Android phones. Re/code points out that the offline viewing feature is limited to certain videos, but still Amazon touts "thousands" of offerings via the service. Users will have between 15-30 days to watch the content they download before it's no longer available for offline viewing.

Existing users of Amazon Prime Video can download the latest version of Amazon Video for free via the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Amazon Video for free from this App Store link.

AND IN OTHER RELATED NEWS, Hulu is now banking on your willingness to pay 4 dollars more a month to not see any commercials. That's right, for 11.99 per month you can get Hulu commercial free! (I won't be paying it tho. That's redic. I shouldn't be having commercials in the first place I'm already paying same price as Netflix).
