  • Currys PC World May Be the First UK Third-Party Retailer to Carry the Apple Watch

Popular U.S. electronics chain Best Buy received extremely positive feedback and reaction after being the first third-party retail chain to sell the Apple Watch. Now, rumor has it that electronics vendor Currys or Currys PC World may be the first third party retail chain to sell the Apple Watch in the UK. According to MacRumors, Currys’ internal inventory system is already showing the wearable device.

There are currently 295 Currys PC World superstores and 73 high street stores in the UK and Ireland. However, it’s still unclear as to how many stores will actually be carrying the wearable device. If it follows in the footsteps of Best Buy, only a limited number of locations will have the Apple Watch and if it receives positive feedback, then the company may then decide to offer it in all stores.

When customers currently search ‘Apple Watch’ on the Currys website, a message comes up saying ‘The Apple Watch is currently not available at Currys PC World, however we have a wide range of smart watches.” We’lll have to wait and see when the company decides to launch the smartwatch online.
