  • Best Jailbreak Tweaks of the Week - August 23rd Edition

This recap will go over the best jailbreak tweaks that we've shown you this week. It's certainly not all of them, but we think these are some of the most worthy of recognition out of what we have been able to show you this week. These are in no specific order, and they're all compatible with the TaiG jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3-8.4 for Windows and Mac OS X. Check them out!

    1. Typecast $1.49

First on our list this week is a new jailbreak tweak called Typecast, which gives you an improved system-wide way of knowing when people read your messages or when someone is typing to you via iMessage, WhatsApp Messenger, or Kik Messenger. The tweak does this by putting icons in your Status Bar, conversation list view, and on the application icons themselves. You can learn more about the tweak by reading our full review at this link; check it out!

    2. BIM FREE

Another one work checking out is BIM, which is a tweak that adds an integrated link-opener to the Messages application so that when you tap on links from the Messages application, the link will open in the link-opener rather than kicking you out of the Messages application and into the Mobile Safari application. Now, when you close the link, you'll be back in the Messages application without having to switch applications to get back there. You can read our full review of BIM at this link, and don't forget to check it out!

    3. Minimal HUD FREE

Also worth checking if you're a minimalist is Minimal HUD, which removes that annoying volume HUD from the center of the screen and puts a subtle volume level scale on the left side of your display that shows how high your volume is in a color-coded fashion. The tweak also works in landscape mode, and will appear at either the top or bottom of your display depending on how you hold your device. The positioning of the new HUD under the control of Minimal HUD is much more preferred and has a smaller footprint on the screen, helping you enjoy videos much more. You can read our full review of Minimal HUD at this link.

    4. VideoLoop FREE

For those of you that like to store videos in your Camera Roll, especially the ones that you like to watch over and over to fully absorb their meaningfulness, a new free jailbreak tweak called VideoLoop could be helpful. With VideoLoop, you can have your videos in your Camera Roll loop over and over while you watch them, rather than play once, and then having to press the play button again to watch them again. It's perfect for those videos that leave you in awe, like a skateboard trick, that you have to watch over and over again to believe. You can read our full review of VideoLoop at this link.

    5. Skippy FREE

Last on our list this week is Skippy, which is a tweak that adds a heads-up-display (HUD) to the Contacts and Phone applications in iOS whenever you use the quick pan feature at the far right of the application to sort through your contacts by name. The tweak adds a HUD to the center of the screen with the letter that you're currently on whenever you're panning, which helps you land on the right spot faster. You can read our full review of Skippy, as well as learn how to get it, at this link!

I would save your money and go with TypeStatus, which is free. Unless you really want that feature for Kik or WA
