  • Apple Seeds OS X El Capitan Recovery Update

Friday morning, Apple seeded an OS X El Capitan recovery update for those testing the beta version of the operating system ahead of the public release that will be this Fall.

The recovery update is available to developers, as well as public beta participants, who have the latest version of the OS X El Capitan beta (build 15A263e) installed, as of Wednesday.

The update is available via the Mac App Store's Updates tab and is recommended for everyone testing the operating system, as it stabilizes the recovery process to get your computer back to a usable state should something go wrong during testing.

OS X El Capitan brings a variety of new features and improvements to the OS X experience. To learn about what's new in the operating system update, you can read our full list of the biggest new features at this link.
