  • Apple Begins Offering L/XL-Sized Apple Watch Sport Bands for People With Larger Wrists

On Friday, alongside a new extension kit for the stainless steel link bracelet for the Apple Watch that could be used to increase the maximum length of the wrist band from 205mm to 245mm, Apple has also launched a new set of L/XL Apple Watch Sport bands with maximum lengths of up to 245mm.

The new size comes into play to answer the requests of people with larger wrists that have ordered the Apple Watch and are unsatisfied with the fitment of the existing band sizes that have been around since the beginning of the Apple Watch's availability.

The new L/XL band costs the same as any other Apple Watch Sport band at $49.00 on Apple's Web site, but it only comes in one of two colors black or white. The L/XL length is also only available for the 42mm Apple Watch, and not the 38mm Apple Watch.

For those interested, you can head over to Apple's Web site at this link to learn more about the L/XL band sizes.

Yes, many US customers need an additional 35mm because they are weightlifters and not because they are morbidly obese.
