  • Google Updates Google Maps for iOS With a Night Mode for Navigation, and More

On Thursday, Google released an update for the highly popular Google Maps navigation application for the iOS platform, integrating a variety of useful new features for users to take advantage of. The latest version of the application that is now available in the App Store is version 4.9.0.

The new version of Google Maps finally adds the highly requested night mode feature, which means that whenever you're navigating to a location in the dark, Google Maps will take a darker appearance like the example on the Android device in the image above.

Moreover, Google Maps now allows users to label places that they want to see on a map and search suggestions, making it easier to keep track of your favorite locations when you're navigating, and also allows users to edit captions that they've made on photographs posted for locations and businesses.

Of course, the update also includes bug fixes and performance improvements to enhance the application's stability and reliability, so it's recommended for everyone. Existing users will find this update waiting for them under the Updates tab in the App Store application, and anyone else that wants to download the latest version of Google Maps can do so for free from this App Store link.
