  • Apple Launches Third Public Beta of iOS 9 to Public Beta Program Participants

Following the seeding of the fifth developer betas of iOS 9 and watchOS 2, Apple has launched a third public beta of iOS 9 Thursday afternoon. The new public beta comes about 2 weeks after the previous one was launched in July.

iOS 9 public beta 3 is available to all Public Beta Program participants, which is a program that Apple has in place for the public to test out and help report bugs in the beta software before it becomes available to the general public in the Fall.

Those signed up for the public beta program will find this update OTA (over the air) under the General > Software Update section in the Settings application.

As first pointed out by 9to5Mac, Thursday's new betas include new detail-rich wallpapers, which show off the retina and retina HD displays.

Quite a bit slower for this one compared to beta 2. I wonder what's up

There are new wallpapers in this one, but they removed the default one. Keyboard popups are back now too, and there's no setting to get rid of them.

They fixed all the bugs I reported, or at least all the ones that were 100% repeatable. I'm sure new ones will turn up though.

Has anyone figured out how to add loyalty cards in Wallet? I can't find on the net anywhere how to do it. Or has anyone read that maybe that will be functional for the final release?
