  • New iMacs With Faster Processors and Even Higher Resolution Displays to Launch in 2015?

Apple is reportedly working on launching an upgraded version of its iMac desktop computer later in 2015.

Citing speculation from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple's new iMac will sport higher speeds and efficiency thanks to new upgraded processors. It is also suggested that the new machine will sport higher resolution displays than current models and with a new LED phosphor material, Apple may make the displays much better at accurately displaying colors.

The details are vague, and don't really specify whether Apple will be improving on the 21.5-inch iMac as well as the 27-inch iMac, or just the 27-inch iMac, but one thing is clear, there are some really nice new processors by Intel right around the corner dubbed 'Skylake' that would make a great upgrade, as would the current desktop-class 'Broadwell' processors.

AppleInsider notes that Apple may even be planning to upgrade current 5k retina display iMacs with LG's new 8k display, although this has not been confirmed and may be completely out of the picture.

Notably, Apple will be releasing OS X 10.11 El Capitan this Fall, which would benefit from the new hardware on such a performance bump.
