  • Apple Rumored to Have Signed New 76,000 Square Feet Office in San Francisco

New reports are circulating claiming Apple will be leasing a 76,000 square feet office in the South of Market neighborhood of San Francisco. According to the San Francisco Business Times, the signed deal is a two-floor sublease in a SoMa building that is already mostly occupied by CBS Interactive, who’s been there for over 10 years. The location of the building is at 235 2nd St. and is expected to house around 500 employees.

Apparently real estate sources told the San Francisco Business Times that rent in the area usually costs around $66 a square foot, which means Apple’s signed deal is an extremely expensive one. Apple has yet to confirm this, so as of right now, it’s still a rumor. When the Cupertino-based company acquired Beats Music last year, they apparently signed a lease that was 26,000 square feet long in the Dogpatch neighborhood in San Francisco until 2016.
