  • Best Buy Stores in Canada to Start Selling Apple Watch on August 14th

Just a few days ago, we reported that Best Buy announced U.S. stores would begin to sell the Apple Watch starting August 7th. Now, the big box electronics retailer announced that Best Buys in Canada would also begin to sell the wearable device, but a week later starting August 14th. According to MobileSyrup, approximately 50 stores will have the device available along with offering it online. However, only 20 out of 50 stores will have the Ďfeel and try oní sessions.

In a separate statement, Apple confirmed this announcement. Senior VP of Merchandising at Best Buy Canada, Tony Sandhu, noted:

It has become one of the most popular searched products on BestBuy.ca. We're excited to bring the highly-coveted Apple Watch to more Canadian consumers, especially with the holidays coming up.
Best Buy marks the first major retailer outside of Apple and their own stores to carry the Apple Watch. Although they will have the smartwatch available, the most expensive gold Edition models will not be available. The only watches that will be available are the Sport and Apple Watch models. The brick-and-mortar store will also be selling different official Apple accessories for the wearable device like charging cables and straps.

We think itís safe to assume that Apple has caught up with their Apple Watch production, therefore will be selling it outside of their own stores and specialty stores. Will you be checking out the devices at Best Buy when it becomes available? Share with us in the section below.
