  • Apple Maps Vehicles Survey France, Sweden & more UK and US Cities

Apple recently announced that they were expanding their Apple Maps vehicle program to Sweden and France for the first time, as well as plans of surveying even more cities in the U.S. and the U.K. This means that the company’s fleet of vans will be taking mapping data for an improved Maps experience in the new locations throughout the month of August. In Sweden, vehicles will be spotted driving through Stockholm and Malmö areas and meanwhile in Paris, France places including Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis and Val-de-Marne will be visited.

As for the U.S., Tennessee will be added onto the list of places the company will be surveying late August. This month alone, Apple surveyed 13 states including Colorado, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Dakota and Wyoming. The total number of places Apple has driven through, plus Tennessee this month will be 30. Apple plans on surveying the new areas in the US and UK from August 17th to August 30th.
