  • Apple Seeds Fifth Beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan to Developers for Testing

On Monday, Apple has seeded the fifth beta of OS X 10.11 El Capitan to developers for testing so that they can prepare their applications for the latest iteration of Mac OS X, as well as help Apple to catch any last-minute bugs before it hits the Public's hands this Fall.

Developers already on the beta channel will find this update waiting for them under the Updates tab in the Mac App Store application, or by going online to Apple's Web site and signing into the Apple Developer Center. A restart will be required after installing it.

The new beta seed brings with it bug fixes, security fixes, and performance improvements for the operating system, which further stabilizes it ahead of the upcoming public release.

Notably, no fifth beta of iOS 9 or watch OS 2 has been provided at this point in time.
