  • Leak Reveals Parallels 11 Will Allow Windows 10 Users to Activate Cortana Voice on OS X

Despite the fact that Apple still hasn't brought Siri to the Mac, users don't necessarily have to put up with not having a voice assistant while using Mac OS X as the main operating system.

As it turns out, leaked information about Parallels 11 reveals that the virtualization software will allow Mac OS X users to access the Windows 10 Cortana voice assistant right from the Mac OS X desktop without the need to have Windows 10 being the forefront operating system; essentially, just having Windows 10 in the background while you mutli-task will give you access to Cortana anywhere from your Mac OS X operating system.

Windows 10 will be launching to the public next week as a free upgrade for Windows 7 and later users. Those who have been selected to upgrade will find a Windows icon in their task bar that they can click on to sign up for the upgrade. Notably, the update will not be free forever.

Parallels 11 is not out yet, but will be launched to the public near or after the Windows 10 release so that Mac OS X users can start run Windows 10 on their Mac with all of the native features at hand and all of the latest performance optimizations at the ready.
