  • Apple Releases Public Beta of OS X 10.10.5 for Those in the Public Beta Program

Just a couple of days ago, Apple provided the first beta of OS X 10.10.5 to developers for testing with unknown changes to the operating system. We can only speculate that the update will include bug fixes, security enhancements, and performance improvements for OS X Yosemite or Apple Music.

On Thursday, Apple has escalated the beta to the Public Beta Program, which means that anyone enrolled in the program can now download and install OS X 10.10.5 before anyone else in the public masses. The public beta comes with the build number 14F6a.

It won't be long before the update hits the hands of the public, as OS X El Capitan is approaching in the near future. The new operating system will further fine tune OS X and make the operating system much more fluid. There are also a variety of new features that will be added with OS X El Capitan, which you can read all about here.

Public Beta Program participants will find OS X 10.10.5 via the Mac App Store's Updates tab.
