  • Apple iPod Ship Times Slip Prior to Rumored New iPod Colors Release

Two weeks ago, rumors were circulating the web claiming that Apple would be releasing new colors to the company’s iPod lineup. Although the company has yet to announce anything in regards to the rumors, people noticed Apple’s Calendar app on the images of the iPods read ‘Tuesday 14.’ It was first noticed when the company’s newest iTunes 12.2 release had some high resolution images of the iPod Touch, iPod Nano, and iPod Shuffle in new colors that Apple was not yet offering.

Current ship times for Apple’s iPod models on the company’s U.S online store have increased. All iPod Touch devices have a 1-3 day ship time regardless of storage capacity or color. Space gray versions of the iPod Nano have the same 1-3 day ship time, whereas the Product Red model has a 7-10 day ship time. Apple’s iPod shuffle has an immediate ship time, however, regardless of color.

The delay in ship time comes prior to the company’s anticipated new iPod color launch. Apparently the company has been said to have upgraded the hardware in the new lineup as well. It is a bit strange that the Cupertino-based company has yet to make any announcements for this release, but then again, we’re not even 100% sure they will be releasing anything either. This could all be a big misunderstanding, but be sure to stay tuned, as we will provide an update as soon as there's any new information.
