  • New Upcoming Apple Store in Hong Kong to be Biggest in Asia

Apple is opening more retail stores left and right and just a few days ago we reported that the first retail store in Queens, NY will be opening this Saturday. Now, it was reported that the company unveiled what is believed to be Asia’s largest store located in Hong Kong. A large 3D logo was revealed on a three story high building at Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui. The area is considered one of the most popular shopping areas for tourists.

The decision for Apple to open a retail store in Tsim Sha Tsui is not surprising, considering the amount of traffic the area gets on a daily basis. However, it is 10 minutes away from the nearest subway and even further from where people get on the Star Ferry to reach Victoria Harbor. Therefore it is considered an odd location for Apple but we’re sure they’ll still get enough foot traffic in general as it is across from the popular Harbour City Mall.

There are currently three other Apple Stores in Hong Kong located in Causeway Bay, the flagship IFC Mall, and in Festival Walk. The upcoming TST one will be the country’s fourth retail store and the biggest of the four. There is even talk about the Cupertino-based company expanding their flagship store in IFC Mall to add a third floor. Hong Kong is considered a fairly small country and having four is definitely a big deal.
