  • iOS VR App Gives Behind The Scenes Look at 2015 Miss USA Pageant

Just how hot is virtual reality? So hot that VR apps are now attracting the interest of major media companies and event organizers, the latest of whom are the folks who produce the Miss USA Pageant.

According to VRjournal, IC Real Tech has just inked a partnership with the 2015 Miss USA Pageant, the result of which is a new iOS app called the "Miss USA 720 Experience." The free app, also available on Android, lets smartphone users view contestants behind-the-scenes in a 360 x 360-degree “Immersive Video format. “

And you still have time to enjoy the app since the pageant doesn’t take place until July 12 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

"The Miss USA 720 Experience App leverages IC Real Tech’s ALLie Virtual Reality cameras which will be placed behind-the-scenes as well as on the pageant stage," according to IC Real Tech. "ALLie is a revolutionary dual-megapixel-sensor camera that captures motion video in Ultra-High Definition (4K) from floor-to-ceiling and completely around itself (360-degrees vertically by 360-degrees horizontally), leaving no area uncovered."
