  • eVisit Rolls Out New Telehealth iOS App

The mHealth boom is, indeed, booming. And a new app from a leading telehealth company will only accelerate the industry's already-rapid growth.

This week, the team at eVisit touted the launch of a new app for iOS (and Android) users that targets both patients and healthcare providers with new tools to improve healthcare on multiple fronts.

According to a company announcement, eVisit’s freshly released app will allow physicians to provide remote video visits to their patients (through a smartphone). For doctors, the app should enable easier real-time diagnosis and recommended treatment of a host of medical issues.

“The release of our mobile app makes eVisit’s telemedicine platform even more accessible and intuitive for patients and their healthcare providers,” says Bret Larsen, eVisit's CEO, in his company's announcement. “More than ever we rely on our smartphones for everyday tasks—including getting access to healthcare. The power of telemedicine is all about getting high-quality care no matter where you are. We’re harnessing that power by connecting doctors and their patients in a safe, secure way via mobile device.”
