  • Apple Seeds iOS 9 Beta 3 & Watch OS 2 Beta 3 to Developers for Testing

The third beta of iOS 9 has just went up the developer section of Apple's Web site. Developers can now head over to the developer portal to download the latest seed of the beta firmware for all of their devices for testing. The new beta comes approximately two weeks after the previous beta seed and comes with the build number 13A4293f.

The beat period allows developers to get all of their applications ready for the firmware before the public launch this Fall, which means users will experience a much smoother transition period since most larger applications will be ready by the time of the launch. It also allows Apple to squish bugs in the firmware before it lands in the public's hands.

iOS 9 beta 3 is said to activate Apple Music for the first time on any of the iOS 9 betas, a feature that shipped with the recent public release of iOS 8.4, as well as improve the stability and performance of the operating system.

When iOS 9 is released to the public in the Fall, it will add new features to the platform, as well as drastically improve speed and performance. The iPad will benefit the most from the new operating system, as it adds new ways to multitask on the larger mobile device. iOS 9 will also include a useful lower power mode that lets users squeeze additional time out of their battery when they get low.

Alongside iOS 9 beta 3, Apple has also seeded watch OS 2 beta 3 to developers, which can be updated via the Apple Watch application on the iOS 9 device the tester is using. This update includes bug fixes and performance improvements.

Thank god, I've been having some issues on my watch lately on beta 2. Randomly crashes, randomly freezes...beta 2 brought her battery life back. Hopefully, beta 3 will bring her performance back

I can't attest to that statement because I've never had a battery problem on my 6+. This thing will last forever. But, that would be great for the overall platform if it does!

I've noticed my battery life on my apple watch lasts way longer now that I'm on 8.4 and Jailbroken once again... I used to get home in the evening with 25-30% battery left on the watch and that's with heavy usage, now it get home and have around 50% after a heavy day of use...

Hey on a slightly unrelated topic, has anyone noticed that the modmyi app is no longer available in the App Store? Is this a new thing? Or is it just me?

I noticed it not being there months ago... Change your Country in your Apple ID on the app store, close it out and open the app store of another country and you can find it, then change your country back in your Apple ID...

Will be updating one of my devices to test the beta out. I'm going to leave my 6+ on 8.4, even when iOS 9 come out until it can be jailbroken.

With the iPhone 6 128GB Space Silver I had problems with the Beta 1 the battery would drain like crazy. Did they fix that in Beta 2 or in this Beta 3? Please let me know.

Beta 3 includes the new "News" app on the phone

      **Edit**

The news app is pretty slick! Pulls reports and articles from many sources. I spent 5 minutes just selecting my interests. Tech news GALORE!
