  • Fleksy Keyboard for iOS is Now Free Forever, New Features Added

Fleksy keyboard, the software keyboard that holds the current world record as the fastest mobile keyboard to date, has gone free forever in the iOS App Store starting this Wednesday.

Fleksy announced in a blog post on Wednesday that they're doing this to help put the keyboard in more people's hands, and to make it up to those that already bought the keyboard in the past, Fleksy will be providing users with $8 worth of content, such as themes and extensions that can be used to make the keyboard even cooler.

Moreover, Fleksy says they will continue to offer additional content for Fleksy in the future as in-app purchases, which includes even more themes and extensions. Current themes allow users to change the colors of the Fleksy keyboard, and extensions include stickers and GIFs that can be sent via the keyboard.

Apart from being made free, Fleksy has also received some new features today. A new "rich content view" called 'Highlights' will allow the keyboard to recommend stickers and GIFs based on what you're typing. This makes it so that you can tap on recommendations instead of having to waste time searching for the content that you want mid-sentence, and should help make GIF and sticker selection a lot faster and easier.

Fleksy Keyboard can be downloaded for free from this App Store link.

Has the overall third party keyboard integration been improved yet or does it still suck?

Me personally it's been a lot smoother since it was first introduced. Not as good as I'd like it to be still but it's leaps and bounds better than what it was

I haven't messed with it since it came out personally but I don't get what all the hype is about. The stock iOS keyboard is very fast and I type very accurately with it. Not to mention its 100% free and better integrated.
