  • Five Great Free Apps and Games for iOS - July 9th Edition

It's that time of the week again; the time of the week where we go over some great new free-to-download releases from the App Store.

In this post, we're going to show you five great free apps and games for iOS from the App Store. We know how hard application discovery can be on the iOS platform, and that's why we're here to help. Below, you'll find five great apps and games that are available right now that you may or may not have heard of. We do this every week!

If you missed our previous Five Great Free Apps and Games for iOS, you can head over to this link to read our July 2nd edition.

    1. Gas Guru: Cheap gas prices

First on our list this week is a popular release from YellowPages called Gas Guru. This application's sole purpose is to show you where the most cost-efficient gasoline is in your area. It'll help you plan your trips so that you can fill your tank as economically-friendly as possible and you'll get save some coin the more you use the application, which is a huge plus. The application will illustrate on a map where the cheapest place to get gas will be, and will also illustrate competing gas station prices in the area. Check it out!

If you're interested in giving Gas Guru a try, it's available free of cost at this App Store link.

    2. Truecaller

Whoever said you had to put up with spam calls was dead wrong. With Truecaller, you can now find out who is calling you, whether they're in your contacts list or not. It's a community-driven platform that can not only help you identify who is calling you based on their phone number, but also helps you discern spam phone calls from legitimate ones. The application can warn you upon the incoming call of a known spam phone number. In-app purchases are involved for additional phone call lookups. Check it out!

If you're interested in giving Truecaller a try, it's available free of cost at this App Store link.

    3. Escape

Escape is a fun game made by Ketchapp that has you steering a rocket around obstacles to prevent yourself from crashing. The point of the game? To get as far as you can without crashing. That distance will be recorded as a score so you can try to beat yourself over and over, or even beat your friends' scores. It's easy to control the game just tap and hold to fly upwards, and releasing your finger will allow the rocket to fall. Check it out!

If you're interested in giving Escape a try, it's available free of cost at this App Store link.

    4. .PXL

Now here's a throwback to the popular days of mobile gaming. A game called .PXL is making it to #4 on our list this week because it reminds us so much of Flappy Bird, but with a retro dynamic that we love. Tapping on the screen makes your pixel jump, and you just want to avoid each of the upcoming obstacles without touching them for as long as you possibly can. Check it out!

If you're interested in giving .PXL a try, it's available free of cost at this App Store link.

    5. UNWYND

Last on our list this week is UNWYND, which is a puzzle game in which you have to perform gestures to solve the colored puzzles. You'll notice that there are squares of different colors on your screen, and your job is to touch them all with a gesture in the amount of moves that you're given. You can't cross colors, so you have to be smart about when and where you use your gestures so that each square is touched. It'll have to scratching your head by around level 10. Check it out!

If you're interested in giving UNWYND a try, it's available free of cost at this App Store link.
