  • Best Jailbreak Tweaks of the Week - July 5th Edition

    This recap will go over the best jailbreak tweaks that we've shown you this week. It's certainly not all of them, but we think these are some of the most worthy of recognition out of what we have been able to show you this week. These are in no specific order, and they're all compatible with the TaiG version 2.3.0 jailbreak for iOS 8.1.3-8.3 for Windows. Check them out!

    1. Mirmir - $3.99

    Welcome to the world of Mirmir, which is probably one of the best implementations of multi-window multitasking on iOS devices to date with an amazing price. Mirmir comes with features for moving windows of applications around on your device, re-sizing them to fix, and having more than just one thing going on at once. This tweak effectively brings to the iPhone and iPod touch what Apple plans to bring to the iPad this Fall. You can read our full review of Mirmir at this link.

    2. WhoozIt - 99

    Another handy dandy tweak is WhoozIt, which allows you to see the name of a caller even if they're not in your contacts. The tweak uses a database by TrueCaller, which means that any time you receive a phone call from a number that you don't recognize, the tweak will try to guess who is calling based on the database. This is perfect for those of you that never answer the phone when a stranger calls, or when you're sure that you're getting called by another one of those darn spam callers. You can read our full review of WhoozIt at this link.

    3. Battivator - $1.49

    Yet another good one to hit the Cydia Store this week was Battivator, which is a tweak that lets you configure low power profiles so that when your device starts getting into its lower battery level stages, you can actually turn off features that you're not using to conserve battery level automatically without lifting a finger to tap on a button. The tweak has extensive features for enabling and disabling certain features, whether they're wireless radios, vibrations, notifications, or something else that normally takes up a lot of battery. You can read our full review of Battivator at this link.

    4. Twitter ++ - FREE

    Those of you using the stock Twitter client for iOS will love this one. Twitter ++ brings a whole truckload of useful features to the Twitter application that can be configured right from the Twitter application's in-app preferences. You can read our full review at this link to learn about all of the features that the tweak brings to the table. Check it out!

    5. SwipeForMore - FREE

    Last, but certainly not least on our list this week, is SwipeForMore, which is a tweak that brings more modernized swipe control gestures to Cydia after the latest Cydia Installer update that allows for jailbreak tweaks to modify the appearance and functionality of Cydia. SwipeForMore makes it easier to queue installations, uninstallations, and more all with the flick of a button on a Cydia package. You can read our full review of SwipeForMore at this link. Check it out!

    You can watch our video overview of these tweaks compliments of iPhone Captain below:

      I used to use Couria on iOS 7. Not sure if it's been updated. It was free and a pretty solid tweak

      I was using Couria on 8.1.2 with no troubles... On 8.4 now and it has very limited functionality... No pull down window to load earlier messages on the quick reply...

      Well damn. Wasn't there another beta repo you could add for an updated version? Sure you probably got that but IJS just in case. I really liked it for the create new message/activator ability to start new messages anywhere. Haven't messed with it on 8 or up tho

      The quick compose via activator works fine, so does the Couria quick compose flipswitch too... I didn't look to see if there was a beta repo, thanks for the heads up, I'll look that up now...

      Did you not read bitesms post like over a year ago? Their main developer left. So, there may or may not be bite any longer. Google it
