  • Apple Names 'Star Walk 2' the iOS App of the Week Via the App Store

On Thursday, Apple refreshed the App Store's front page with an all-new App of the Week. This week's pick, which is Star Walk 2, replaces Halftone 2, which was last week's App of the Week.

Star Walk 2 is a unique tool for learning about astronomy. The application gives you a better idea of the bodies of stars in space, by giving you an in-depth look at constellations. The application can give you the exact position in the sky for stars, comets, plants, and much more. It shows you everything using complex 3D figures that look like works of art.

As a result of being named the App of the Week, Star Walk 2 is available for free in the App Store for the next week, which saves you $2.99 if you plan on downloading the application.

If you want to download Star Walk 2 for free, you can head over to this App Store link.

Honestly I have the first Starwalk and it's miles better. It was 2 bucks and had tons of stars and all the planets. No in-purchases needed.

Same feelings. Loved the first one; in-app purchase for this app not a fan of.
