  • iCloud Service Outages Affected a Number of Users Wendesday, Back Up and Running Now

Wednesday morning through to the afternoon, a variety of users experienced a long outage of services affecting iCloud Backup, iWork for iCloud Beta, iCloud Drive, Mail Drop, Documents in the Cloud, Photos, and iMessage.

The outage issues spanned from the morning all the way through to 4 P.M. EST time. The reasoning for the outage is unknown, although as of this writing, Apple appears to have fixed the issue.

Apple has been experiencing large system outages on a fairly regular basis recently, suggesting that the company may be in the midst of upgrading hardware behind the scenes and performing regular scheduled maintenance.

With the issues now resolved, those that were experiencing problems throughout the day should no longer see any hiccups in iCloud service performance.

I had Siri outages well after 4PM ET. It would say that there was no Internet connection even though there was a string LTE signal with Unlimited data. I knew it was a services outage because it persisted past a reboot and it also happened to my brother earlier.

Same here with the Siri outages yesterday. Got lots of "Ooops I seem to have lost my Internet Connection" messages from Siri. (Not the same as "Sorry I can't take any requests right now.") All other Internet connected apps were working fine at the time.

Does "Wendesday" come before or after Wednesday?
