  • Dr. Dre's 'The Chronic' Will be Available on Apple Music Exclusively

The highly anticipated streaming service Apple Music will be launching tomorrow and Dr. Dre’s ‘The Chronic’ will reportedly launch on the music streaming service at the same time. According to Rolling Stone, The Chronic is not currently available on any music streaming platform, which means Apple Music will be the first and only service to have the album. Streaming competitor Spotify does however, have the album after The Chronic titled 2001, in both instrumental and original versions.

We believe that because Dr. Dre (real name Andre Young) was a Beats co-founder, he decided to let Apple Music stream his album exclusively. Interestingly enough, The Chronic was not even available on Beats Music nor is it available to purchase from iTunes. Maybe the rapper feels Apple Music will be the next big thing and decided to launch it for the first time on a streaming service because of that, but we’re not sure if we’ll ever really find out.

I can't wait to stream this album I've owned for over 20 years. I hope it's good.
