  • Apple Watch to Land in More Countries Next Month

Today was a big day for Apple Watch on the global stage.

This morning, Apple's inaugural wearable device debuted in Italy, Mexico, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and Taiwan. According to Apple, the smartwatch is available in these seven nations online, in Apple Stores and through select Apple Authorized Resellers.

Although the global interest in Apple Watch has been strong, it's a story not widely reported. Nonetheless, while most media outlets opt to focus on the Apple Watch's popularity at home, Apple is ramping up efforts to ensure that everyone who wants an Apple Watch somewhere in the world has an opportunity to purchase one.

And next month, three more nations will have that opportunity. Beginning July 15th, Apple says that consumers in the Netherlands, Sweden, and Thailand will be able to buy the device.

“The response to Apple Watch has surpassed our expectations in every way, and we are thrilled to bring it to more customers around the world,” said Jeff Williams, Apple’s senior vice president of Operations, in a written statement earlier this month.
