  • No Apple TV Event in August?

It's a question that's now been asked by industry analysts and consumers alike for more than three years -- when is the next-gen Apple TV coming?

Following the Apple TV no-show earlier this month at WWDC, speculation mounted that Apple needed a little more time to prep its next-gen set top box, as everything from Apple Watch integration to a dedicated Apple TV app store are on the way.

But now as July fast approaches, the latest speculation out of Asia suggests that Apple will need even more time. In short, there may not be an August media event dedicated exclusively to what used to be considered little more than Apple's living room experiment.

Instead, Apple TV may be the big "one more thing" reveal at Apple's eagerly anticipated iPhone 7 event in September or October. If the rumor mill is correct, this also gives Apple more time to firm-up the exclusive licensing deals it needs to make the next Apple TV release a truly attractive offering and potentially worthwhile alternative to cable television subscriptions.

Everyone but Anthony has been saying iPhone 7 the last few weeks. Not sure why.

In a previous article it was mentioned that Apple might call the next model iPhone 7 in order to equalize with the iPad (7th gen).
