  • June Quarter Reportedly Will Show 54M iPhone Sales, Strong Apple Watch Interest

The June quarter may be another blockbuster for Apple. That's according to new projections put forward by Morgan Stanley.

On Wednesday, the report in question intimated strong demand for the Apple Watch -- demand that may be even stronger than the demand seen for Apple's first generation iPhone upon its release some eight years ago.

The estimates put forward by Morgan Stanley suggest that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sales remain impressively dominant during a stretch of time that can often demonstrate a lull in sales and interest in the smartphone market (particularly for companies that haven't released a new device in recent months).

If today's report proves prescient, Apple will have logged a staggering 54 million iPhone sales during this quarter. And while actual numbers are all over the map on Apple Watch sales, Morgan Stanley doesn't believe investors or analysts will likely be disappointed by the first-ever quarterly report for Apple Watch sales.
