  • Best Jailbreak Tweaks of the Week - June 21st Edition

This recap will go over the best jailbreak tweaks that we've shown you this week. It's certainly not all of them, but we think these are some of the most worthy of recognition out of what we have been able to show you this week. These are in no specific order, and they're all compatible with the TaiG version 1.2.0 jailbreak for iOS 8.0-8.1.2 on Windows and the PP jailbreak for iOS 8.0-8.1.2 on Mac OS X.

    1. Blocked $2.99

Blocked is a new jailbreak tweak that brings you uncompromising security modes to your iOS 7 or iOS 8 device. The tweak is perfect for when you want to fall asleep and don't want people getting into your device, or for when you hand your device to a stranger to make a phone call and don't want them going through all of your personal information. It comes with options for blocking off the most sensitive parts of iOS from people that you don't want touching them. You can read our full review of Blocked at this link. Check it out!

    2. Beacon 2 $1.03

Another tweak that was released this week that is worthy of recognition is Beacon 2, which is able to let you customize the appearance and return animation of your respring screen. Apart from changing the color of the background and apple logo when you respring your device, the tweak also lets you set a custom return animation, which happens when your device comes back up and you start to see your Lock Screen again. It makes respringing fun again. You can read our full review of Beacon 2 at this link. Check it out!

    3. Avix 99

For those that like to customize the animations and appearance of the application cards in the App Switcher, a new jailbreak tweak called Avix is worth taking a look at. It lets you adjust the animation of paging through application preview cards in the App Switcher, as well as configuring the look and style of the application preview cards. What's more is you can use this tweak to easily get to your applications' privacy settings by tapping and holding on an application preview card. It's a very nice tweak and you can read all about it from our review at this link. Check it out!

    4. EffacePad

EffacePad is yet another interesting jailbreak tweak that lets you modify the look and feel of the Lock Screen's passcode buttons so that your Emergency and Cancel buttons both get added to the round button interface rather than just appearing as plain text at the bottom of the Lock Screen. The entire point of the tweak is simply to give you a nicer look and feel, although it doesn't adjust the functionality of the Lock Screen whatsoever. You can read our full review of EffacePad a this link. Check it out!

    5. Columba $2.99

Last, but not least on our list this week is a new jailbreak tweak called Columba. This tweak promises to give you biteSMS-like functionality built right into your stock Messages application. Features include windowed quick reply, quick compose, scheduled messages, message forwarding, the ability to create templates for messaging, and much more. Although it's super awesome, some users are reporting that the tweak may be conflicting with other tweaks installed on their devices. We suggest that if you try this tweak out, you do so with caution until the developer addresses the conflicts in an update. You can read our full review of Columba at this link. Check it out!
