  • Apple Restores Sales of UP2 in Online Store

A familiar product has returned to the online Apple Store.

This morning, readers began notifying us about the return of the UP2, a fitness tracker from Jawbone.

For Apple, this latest move caps a brief run of unexplained behavior, as the Cupertino, California-based tech giant provided no warning or information about why the UP2 was pulled last spring.

Similarly, no word was given with regard to why it's being brought back so suddenly. Of course, some pretty obvious assumptions can be made in this matter.

Apple, in all likelihood, removed competing fitness trackers during the three month period that spanned the formal launch and roll-out of Apple Watch, the company's first ever wearable device that offers many of the same features and capabilities of leading fitness trackers.
