  • Facebook Launches New 'Moments' App to Make Private Photo-sharing Easier for Users

On Monday, Facebook launched a new Moments application for iOS and Android devices that makes it easier for Facebook users to privately share photos to their closest friends.

Facebook says that the application will be useful in events where you are with a bunch of friends and take a group photograph when everyone in the photograph wants a copy of the photograph later on. The application syncs the photograph that you took with the friends involved in the event so that not only do you give the photographs you took to everyone else, but also, everyone else's photographs from the event are given to you too.

Facial recognition technology is used to make groups based on who is in the photographs and makes it easy to search for photographs containing certain people or events.

Ditto! Who needs another app?! Why doesn't facebook make one app to rule them all. And yes, we already have sharing features in icloud photo shared albums LOL.
