  • Google Maps Now Lets You Send Places You Search for From Your Desktop to Your iOS Device

Google has launched an update for its Google Maps application on the iOS platform with new features and improvements.

Version 4.7.0 of Google Maps is available in the App Store right now with the ability to send places that you are searching for on your computer right to your iOS device. This might come in handy if you're searching for how to get somewhere on the big screen and you want to send it to your mobile device so that you're ready to navigate.

This new feature requires that you have push notifications enabled so that you'll get the notification that you're trying to send yourself a place from your computer.

Moreover, Google notes that in this version you'll be able to edit business hours for places and view all of your reviews and photos from "Your Places" in the application. A variety of bug fixes are also present in this version to improve the application's stability and usability on the road.

If you're already using Google Maps on your iOS device(s), then this update is available for free under the Updates tab in the App Store application. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of Google Maps free of charge from this App Store link.

It's worth mentioning that you need to Enable it in the Google maps app from the Settings - Notification so it can work.. Most people will look only in the iPhone settings...
