A powerful name in technology is once again in the top 5 of the venerable Fortune 500 ranking.

The new list is out and Apple managed to find its way back to #5 on the closely watched logging of the most powerful and financially dominant companies on the planet.

Leading Apple on the list is (1) Walmart, (2) Exxon Mobil, (3) Chevron, and (4) Berkshire Hathaway.

Holding firm to the same spot on the list it secured last year, Fortune credits Apple's impressive lineup of new and refreshed products for driving unprecedented sales and restoring investor confidence in the company's ability to innovate.

"A product pipeline that's gotten Apple fanboys lining up all over again has certainly helped re-energize revenue growth," the Fortune recognition reads. "In addition to unveiling new categories like Apple Pay and Apple Watch, the company launched the iPhone 6, selling a record-breaking 10 million units in the first three days."
