  • Google Drive iOS App Gets Material Design Treatment & Speed Improvements

Following the footsteps of many other applications made by Google, Google Drive for iOS received an update on Wednesday that brings the Material Design to the application. Material Design brings a bold look to the application with more tangible-looking elements and stronger colors.

Version 4.0 of the application, which is the version that brings Material Design to Google Drive for iOS, also brings with it a variety of improvements that Google is excited to announce, including even faster file syncing and image viewing, improvements to the fluidity of scrolling through all of your files from the application, and even a new swipe gesture that can be used to go backwards.

Existing users of Google Drive for iOS will find version 4.0 of the application waiting for them under the Updates tab in the App Store application. For those with automatic updates enabled, it will be installed automatically without you even having to lift a finger.

If you're not already using Google Drive, it's available for free from this App Store link. All you will need to use it is a free online Google account to sign in with.

I wonder why Dropbox is the only one to support animated gifs. Onedrive and Google Drive still don't.
