  • Apple Reportedly Gives Local Media a Look Inside its Headquarters in Cork, Ireland

Local media have been granted rare access into Apple’s European headquarters in Cork, Ireland. According to the Irish Examiner, approximately 4,000 workers hold jobs at the facility where they assemble iMacs, and give support and sales service to European customers. The facility was originally opened in 1980 with only 60 employees working at the plant and did only manufacturing.

The only Apple-owned factory in the world belonged to the facility in Cork, Ireland. Back in the early 2000s, Apple had closed down many of their own manufacturing facilities and now only one remains. The report noted that Apple employees at the European plant also take care of administration.

Those of you interested in seeing some of the pictures of the new facility can do so below:

"Back in the early 1900s, Apple had closed down many of their own manufacturing facilities and now only one remains"
      Wasn't Apple founded in 1976?
If that's not the case, how early on was Apple founded that by early 1900s they had already closed down many of their manufacturing facilities?

Yeah proofreading articles isn't too big around here. But you also see these kind of errors on CNN and what not. Part of this old idea to hire cheaper and cheaper journalists to drive down costs.

I don't think I've read a single one of Akshay's articles that was completely correct. Maybe english isn't his first language...? Or proofreading seven sentences is way above his pay grade.

The picture reminds of an old movie called "Crazy People", Sony commercial about why their products is better "because Caucasian's is just too damn tall..."
