  • Chase Bank Updates iPhone App to Incorporate Touch ID Feature

For those using Chase bank and their iOS app know that it could get a bit annoying to type in the username and password every time the app opens and then having to resign in after getting kicked off the app for being idle for too long. Now, the major bank has updated its app to incorporate fingerprint login support using Touch ID. Upon launching the iOS app for the first time after updating it, the app will ask users if they’d like to use Touch ID and turn it on.

After answering ‘yes’ to the prompt, Chase lets users know that a password will still be needed in some cases. However, we all know that being able to use fingerprinting to login makes life much easier and quicker to access the app. Touch ID has not been added on the iPad, as the iPad app is still on the pre-iOS 7 design. However, American Express and PayPal already has Touch ID support on the iPad unlike Chase, so we feel it’ll only be a matter of time before the major bank does the same.

If you haven’t done so already, head on over to the App Store and update your Chase app so that you can start using the Touch ID feature.

Yeah...then you have to enter your password just to pay the bill. What a joke. This app is so far behind the others it's not even funny. Just sad really!

Done excellently by Chase. Bank of America and PNC need this feature.
