  • Apple Overload: Foxconn May Have its Hands Full This Fall

Sources in the East are reporting today that Foxconn may have an unprecedented workload from Apple as we enter the second half of 2015.

According to sources in the know, Apple's longtime manufacturing partner could be tasked with a massive amout of work ahead of Apple's anticipated release of multiple new products this fall and well into the new year.

The China Post says Foxconn will definitely have its hands full. Just how full? Possibly 70 percent of next generation iPhone orders may be place by Apple with Foxconn. Obviously, that's a huge production burden but a financial boon the likes of which Foxconn has never seen. So don't expect the work to be turned down.

"Kuo Ming-chi, an analyst with Taipei-based KGI Securities, said that as Hon Hai boasts a higher yield rate in assembling the iPhone, the Taiwanese manufacturer is expected to secure the majority of the orders from Apple," the report notes.

Interestingly (although we've heard this rumor before and it has never proven accurate), Kuo says the next-gen iPhone will be unveiled in August -- not September or October, as we've seen in recent years.
