  • Apple on the Hunt for New iAd Network Communications Manager

Apple is hiring again (of course, they're always hiring. But only a few positions advertised are truly ever news worthy).

This week, Apple is getting attention for a new advertised opening at the company in its iAd division. Although iAd hasn't been the mobile advertising juggernaut that Steve Jobs initially envisioned, nothing is over yet. And Apple clearly wants to make a good thing as great as it can be.

In this case, Apple is seeking a global communications manager for the iAd network. This is considered to be a very lofty position, the likes of which usually aren't touted on the company's job positing bulletin board.

What we know of the position is that its eventual occupancy will be in charge of iAd's marketing positioning, strategy, and communications. Not surprisingly, Apple is looking for someone with at least 5 years of hardcore marketing experience at an elevated level.

All told, the new hire will enter the position at a time when iAd continues to fall behind the likes of Google and Facebook as the top ad platforms in the world. To say that they have their work cut out for them would definitely be an epic understatement.
