  • Apple Seeds OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 Beta 3 to Developers & Public Beta Participants

Immediately following the seed of iOS 8.4 beta 3 to developers for testing Monday afternoon, Apple seeded OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 beta 3 to both developers and those participating in the Public Beta Program.

Apple notes that the update adds stability, security, and compatibility improvements to Mac OS X.

The new OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 beta is tagged with the build identifier of 14E17e and is available to developers both via the Updates tab in the Mac App Store, or directly on the developer section of Apple's Web site. Installing it will require a restart of the machine in question, so saving your work before installing the update is recommended to prevent data loss.

The new beta fixes additional bugs that were present in earlier betas of the 10.10.4 beta series, such as beta 2 just two weeks ago, and makes the operating system perform zippier with stability improvements.

Under System Preferences there are now "ink" preferences. Maybe apple will explore handwriting and/or touch screens for OS X? Attachment 704191
