  • Get Your Food in 10 Minutes or Less in New York or Chicago with UberEATS

Uber recently launched their UberEATS service in New York City and Chicago, after finding initial success in Barcelona and Los Angeles. The service apparently promises food delivery to customers in ten minutes or less. Similar to all other ‘Uber’ projects, UberEATS is a smartphone-based transportation service that has a limited menu if you want your food delivered. The service apparently partners with local restaurants so delivery is quick and on time.

As a promotion for the NYC UberEATS launch, the company will be offering exclusive menu items from the LDV Hospitality restaurant, American Cut. Wired reported that the secret behind Uber staying within the 10 minute range is by having drivers pick up multiple orders in ‘temperature controlled bags’ from restaurants that are participating in the service, then drive around and deliver the food.

Those who are interested in trying the service out can do so using the Uber official app. There will be a specific section titled ‘EATS’, which will run Monday through Friday, 11am to 2pm. As of right now, the service is only available from 40th St. to 14th St. in Manhattan and the Loop and River North in Chicago. Will you be trying out UberEATS? Share with us below.
