  • Google Launches Snapseed 2.0 Image-editor for iOS With Tons of Editing Improvements

On Thursday, Google released an updated version of its Snapseed image editor application for the iOS platform with a large variety of improvements to photo-editing. Version 2.0 is now available as a free download in Apple's App Store.

Snapseed is well-known for its filters and powerful image-editing tools, which is why Google wanted to acquire the software and did back in 2012. Thursday's update improves on the image-editing tools with more functionality and capability. New in Thursday's update are the following changes, as noted by the App Store description:

    • Brush tools to apply effects to sections of an image
    • Spot Repair for detailed editing, healing, and retouching

With addition filters, improvements to blurring capabilities, image repair tools, and perspective adjustments, this update is one you're not going to want to miss if you have fun editing images for emphasis or entertainment.

Existing users of Snapseed will find the update waiting for them under the Updates tab in the App Store application; those with automatic updates enabled will have the update installed for them automatically. Alternatively, you can also follow this App Store link to download Snapseed absolutely free of cost.
