  • Fifth OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Beta Seeded to Developers & Public Beta Participants

Approximately one week after OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 beta (build 14D105g) was seeded to developers and those participating in the public beta program, Apple has seeded a fifth beta to both developers and those participating in the public beta program on Monday; the new beta build is 14D113c.

The new beta improves the stability of the OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 release, as well as improves the performance of the operating system. The beta also includes the diversified Emojis that will allow the user to have more control over the skin tones and appearance of their Emojis, as well as the Photos application for OS X that will be replacing Aperture and iPhoto on the OS X operating system.

Those participating in the public beta program, or developers who are on the beta channel, will find this update waiting for them under the Updates tab in the Mac App Store application. Installing the update will require a restart, so it's recommended you save all data before installing the update to prevent data loss.

The official public release of OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 is expected some time in the Spring, although no exact date is clear just yet. iOS 8.3 is expected to follow, bringing the diversified Emoji features to the iOS platform as well.
