  • Apple Wants Android Users' Business, Soon Will Offer New Trade-in Program

Apple wants your business, whether you're already an Apple device owner, or you're using a competitor's mobile device.

Apple is soon planning to extend its trade-in program to that of Android devices as well, allowing those that are currently using the Android platform for their smartphone and/or tablet needs to trade in their device for a varying amount in the form of an Apple Store gift card that can be used towards the purchase of an Apple device. 9to5Mac reports that the changes could take place as early as the next few weeks.

In the past, Apple has only accepted trade-ins from competing PC brands, or that of Apple's own computer or mobile devices, so the extension to mobile devices is certainly an interesting move for Apple and one that is certainly much needed for the growth of a mobile device manufacture.

Notably, Apple gleefully shared at their 'Spring Forward' event that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus handsets pulled a lot of Android users over to the iOS platform, and this shows that Apple is deliberately trying to take from the Android user base for their own by giving people exactly what they want (in this case, it was the larger display).

If you use any Android devices, is this a program that you would take part in?

Unless you have a Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge, Note 4/EDGE, or HTC One M9, I highly doubt Android users are gonna get much for their phones. $20 gift cards anyone? 😂😂😂

everything except a good battery life. We just paid a 3rd party to replace the batteries in our iPhones instead of buying new.

No phone gets what we did in iPhone 4 days.. We want too much from our phones now.. In iPhone 4 days I could get 2 full days before a recharge.. Even with heavy usage.. Those days are gone on any phone any manufacturer.

I walked around for 2 weeks with a Note 3 making sure I had equivalent features turned on in both phones (this is where most people's comparisons fall apart).. And both phones lasted about the same.. A few days the Note 3 won.. Other days my iPhone 6 won..

Both gave me about one full days use sun up to sundown..

The days of 2 days before needing a charge are gone, my friend..

I get very close to 2 days. Usually get a little over 10 hours of usage.

      Is that 6+? or 6?

I get about 6-7 hours of use and 9-10 hours of standby. But that's only ever in one day.. into the late evening.

Yeah.. That's why you have the better battery power. First phone since iPhone 4 with a real battery.
