  • New Thunderbolt2 Connectors, Broadwell CPUs, and Faster Flash Upgrades to MacBook Air

Apple at the ‘Spring Forward’ event announced their all new 12-inch MacBook Air which practically stole the spotlight, but the Cupertino-based company also announced an update to its MacBook Air lineup. The legacy MacBook Air has new Intel Broadwell processors as well as faster Thunderbolt2 connectors. The 13-inch Air also received new flash memory that is much faster than before (twice as fast to be exact).

The newly upgraded MacBook Airs will start shipping today, so those who are interested in the new lineup can expect to receive them soon once ordered. Although previous rumors claimed that it would be upgraded with USB-C and Retina display features, that certainly wasn’t the case. However, Apple did include the rumored features on their newest 12-inch MacBook Air.
