  • Apple's 'Spring Forward' Event to Take Place Four Days After Mobile World Congress 2015

For those who didn’t know, the Mobile World Congress mega conference being held in Barcelona will be taking place from March 2nd to March 5th. The event is taking place just four days before Apple’s ‘Spring Forward’ event that was just recently announced. The Cupertino-based company is expected to give more information about their upcoming Apple Watch at the March 9th event. Given the fact that everyone worldwide likes to tune in to Apple’s events, it is likely that it will overshadow the Mobile World Congress conference.

It was noted that at MWC 2015, Samsung, Google, HTC, Lenovo, Microsoft, Huawei, LG, and Sony will all be making presentations. Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S6 (the device which will compete with Apple’s iPhone 6) at the conference, while HTC is expected to show off its M9 phone. Both companies are also expected to announce a possible wearable device to compete with the Apple Watch.

This isn’t the first time Apple has ‘coincidentally’ planned an event around the time another conference takes place. Just last year, the Cupertino-based company held an event in September right after Samsung announced their Galaxy S4 device the same month and had plans on releasing it in October. Apple launched their iPhone 6 Plus not long after their event, before the Korean-based company was able to even get around in launching theirs. Because of this, Samsung ended up having to unveil their phablet earlier than the date they originally announced.
