  • New Photos of Apple Campus 2 Released

KQED was given a tour recently of Apple’s under construction Apple Campus 2 site and the California News outlet revealed new pictures to the public. New details and the continued progress on the site were also provided. It was noted before that the Cupertino-based company is looking to house 12,000 employees into the 4-story structure. Also previously noted was the fact that it will be an environmentally friendly building, meaning recycled water will be used to flush toilets and recycled old building parts will be used on the building.

According to Bay Area outlet KQED,

What Apple inherited on the property was several older buildings, all of which were broken down and deconstructed. Much of the material from those old buildings was recycled into new building material to make the new campus, according to Apple.
Most photos of the Campus 2 site so far have been aerial footage and from drones in air. The new photos however, are ground-based photos that give readers an idea of what to expect in the upcoming months. Based on the recently released photos, it definitely seems like there is much more to be done before the completion of the new site. The campus is said to be fully finished by the end of this year. If you would like to view additional pictures, you can visit the KQED website.

That's neat. Very iconic from elevation. From street-level it must look like any other big ugly building, though.

It is a bit strange that they've isolated themselves from the surrounding town. It strikes me as something an evil super-villain would do, or a shady shell corporation owned by some foreign superpower.
